Custom Installation
Installing aftermarket or custom components is an area that most restoration shops avoid, but not us. We pride ourselves in the ability to plan for and install aftermarket or custom components as if the project was made for it. Below are a few examples of the many custom installations we have done.
Aftermarket Air Conditioning
1951 Mercury 2 DoorInstalled under the factory dash with the condenser being installed in the normal location in front of the radiator.
Frenched or Recessed Components
1940 Oldsmobile CoupeThe taillights, backup lights and license plate mounting area where all frenched.
Drive Train and Steering
1954 Nash Metropolitan ConvertibleWe installed a later model GM V-6 drive train into this very small car. All mounting brackets were fabricated or modified, as well as mounting surfaces being modified. The steering was an engineering feat in itself, with there being no binding of any kind.
Pedal Assemblies
1954 Nash Metropolitan ConvertibleThe gas and brake pedal assemblies were modified due to the custom firewall and transmission tunnel.
Dash and Gauges
1954 Nash Metropolitan ConvertibleWe plugged and smoothed the original dash, then added aftermarket gauges.
Hood and Latch Assembly
1932 Ford RoadsterThe hood and latch assembly is aftermarket, but the hood sides are custom made by us.
Roll Bars and Roll Cages
1970 Mustang Mach 1We design, bend and install roll cages for cars and trucks. This particular cage is for street and strip with a hinged driver's bar and removable cross bar to allow for passengers in the back seat.
Convertible Top Conversions
1971 Plymouth Barracuda ConvertibleWe can convert a hard top into a fully functional convertible top.
