1950 Chevrolet Pickup
This 5-window Chevy Pickup is our future shop truck. This was somebody's abandoned project with many areas that were poorly done. It had the wrong front stub in it and the rearend was basically just laying there; the rear suspension was even hooked up. This will be a budget-build using good ol' GM salvage yard parts.

This is what the truck looked like when we first parked it in our shop.
The truck had the wrong front stub installed, so we removed it and cleaned up the original frame under the cab.
We then installed a metric frame front stub from a Buick Regal that just happens to be the correct track width.
We also installed a rear frame section from the same Buick Regal so we can have a 4-link/coil spring suspension.
The front and rear frame sections were positioned on the original frame so that the body of this ol' truck has the correct stance.
We then installed a Chevy V-8 and 700 R4 transmission.
We went with a firewall mount brake booster and master cylinder for ease of maintenance and adequate stopping power.
