1954 Nash Metropolitan Convertible

The customer already started on this car before he brought it to us. It has had custom suspension installed, the engine, transmission and everything in the cockpit has been removed. We are to fine tune the suspension, fit it with a Buick V-6 engine and transmission, fabricate a firewall, transmission tunnel and front floors.

Here's Fred adjusting the front suspension. The front crossmember had to be moved about an inch to achieve the proper wheel base alignment and ride height.

The V-6 engine fills up the entire engine compartment on this car. (Please over look the spots in this photo; poor lighting.)

The transmission crossmember was made so that it can be removed.

Fred's pointing to the gussett that was added to the engine mount. To the right of his hand is a gussett plate that was added to tie the new front stub into the existing frame; 2 were needed for both front and rear of the stub. These gussetts were added on both sides of the car.
